2009 Special Town Meeting
Plaistow Town Warrant
State of New Hampshire
To the inhabitants of the Town of Plaistow, New Hampshire, in the County of Rockingham in said state, qualified to vote in town affairs.
You are hereby notified to meet for a special town meeting at the Plaistow Library, 85 Main Street, in said Plaistow on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 6:00 PM in the evening to vote on appropriations relative to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Shall the Town of Plaistow vote to raise and appropriate the sum of seven hundred and twelve thousand dollars ($712,000.00) (gross budget) for the purpose of replacing the structurally deficient, Red-Listed Garden Road Bridge over the Little River and to rebuild portions of the roadway approaches to the bridge. Furthermore, to accept American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds of a maximum of five hundred and fourteen thousand five hundred dollars ($514,500.00) for construction and construction related engineering services, with the balance to be funded 80% through the NHDOT Municipally Managed Bridge Aid Program ($158,000.00) and 20% raised by taxpayers ($39,500.00).
We certify that we gave notice to the inhabitants within named town to meet at the time and place for this purpose, within mentioned, by causing to be posted an attached copy at the Town of Plaistow website (www.plaistow.com), Plaistow Public Library and Plaistow Town Hall, being public places in said Town in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Nine.
