The Town of Plaistow Planning Board is currently updating the 2004 Master Plan, the guide for future growth of the community. The Master Plan serves many important purposes. It presents and analyzes the social, economic, environmental and physical characteristics of the community, and provides a means to coordinate land development. Most importantly, it expresses the rationale and broad principles that serve as guidelines to the Planning Board, the Board of Selectmen, and other Town boards, commissions, and committees as they plan for the future.
In order to acquire a sense of how Plaistow residents feel about their community, including what are the Town’s strengths and weaknesses, what is special about Plaistow, and how the community should develop in the future, we need your input! Your input is a key component in updating the Master Plan, and without it, there is no direct input to guide the Planning Board in updating this important document.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Plaistow Town Hall for this important community workshop to develop a series of guiding principles for the plan.
