Animal Control

Plaistow Animal Control is on call 24/7 and can be reached through the Police Department at (603) 382-1200. We address calls/concerns from the public regarding loose or nuisance pets, sick/injured wildlife, neglect/abuse or complaints regarding animals. If you are missing a pet, please call Animal Control, we may have located your pet or could give advice on helping you to locate a lost pet. If you find a wandering animal, be sure to contact us to let us know. Our concern is to keep loose dogs safe and return them home promptly. We have the ability to check for microchips. Please call regarding animals that may have been injured on the road, whether domestic or wild. The Animal Control officer enforces laws regarding licensing, dogs-at-large, aggression or bites, and rabies vaccinations to name a few. We work to keep wildlife and the public safe and follow the guidelines and practices of NH Fish and Game and the licensed wildlife rehabilitators in our local area.
