Heating & Electrical Assistance

If you are experiencing difficulty with your electric bill call the electric company and set up a payment plan. This will allow you to catch up on your bill and prevent a shut-off.

Rockingham Community Action Fuel Assistance Program:

Eligible household receive grants ranging from $75 to $1125, depending on household income and yearly heating costs. Applicants must provide information about the heating fuel costs for the previous 12 months. Household with the least amount of income and the highest heating costs receive the greatest Fuel Assistance Grants. Application are accepted SEPTEMBER 1st - APRIL 30th and assistance is provided from December 1st – April 30th.
