Upcoming Events:
Some of the standard activities that we are involved with include:

- Rabies Clinic
- Memorial Day Parade
- Old Home Day, Fire Truck Parade
- Muscular Dystrophy ‘Fill the Boot’ Tag Day
- Santa Claus Street Tour
- Brush Burning

The general details for each of these are as follows (list will be updated with more specific information as it is made available):
Christmas Tree Disposal – The Town curbside pickup will NOT take Christmas Trees. The Firemen’s Association will dispose of these trees for $1.00 (drop tree off behind the Safety Complex, 27 Elm Street). A member of the Association will pick-up the tree for $5.00.
Rabies Clinic – This is usually held in the early spring, usually the first or second Saturday in April. The shots are administered by Dr. Wallace and have typically been at a cost of $12.00 (2017) per animal, payable to the Plaistow Firemens’ Association. The cost may change from year to year. The clinic is held at the Safety Complex. Dr. Wallace will vaccinate dogs, cats, ferrets, etc. In addition, the Town Clerk is available to complete licenses for your dog.
Memorial Day Parade – The members of your Fire Department are proud to honor those that have served and continue to serve our country. To honor those servicemen and women, we will participate in the Town’s parade when scheduled.
Old Home Day, Fire Truck Parades – The Firemen’s Association will sponsor the annual Fire Truck Parade component of Old Home Day. We invite area towns to participate, judge fire apparatus and award trophies for various categories. In addition, the members volunteer to monitor the fireworks show following all of the events of the day.
Smoke Detector Check – If you have a smoke detector that you need to have checked for operation or placement, let us know. We also have a limited number of smoke detectors available for those who might not be able to provide one for them. Contact the Fire Department Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for more information at 382-5012.
