Part-Time Records Clerk
The Plaistow Police Department is currently seeking applicants for the position of Part-Time Records Clerk. This position requires an individual who can work independently in a team environment, is a self-starter, demonstrates excellent communication skills, effectively manages time, can make sound independent judgments, and pays sharp attention to details.
Candidates for this position must have the ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer and related software (including Microsoft Office). Strong clerical skills are required including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, and records management. Must be able to learn job-related material and computer software primarily through oral and written instructions and have the ability to maintain sensitive files and documents with a high level of confidentiality. Candidates must also possess the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously with other employees and the general public.
Previous work experience in law enforcement/public safety and knowledge of New Hampshire Criminal Laws and Court System is a plus, but not required.
Applicants for this position must be at least 21 years old, have a High School Degree or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred), valid driver’s license, and U.S. Citizenship.
Required to successfully complete an interview process, drug screening, and extensive background investigation, to include a criminal records check.
The position is 28 hours per week with a starting hourly rate of $15.92.
