HELP! My trash didn't get picked up today! What do I do?

Here are a few questions to ask yourself...

  1. Was my trash/recycling cart out curbside by 7:00AM?   

  2. Is there a holiday that delayed pick up this week?  (refer to the recycling calendar for a list of applicable holidays)

  3. Is there a sticker on my trash/recycling cart that explains why my trash/recycling was not collected?

  4. Do I have the right day for my street?  (it happens!)

IF your trash was out by 7:00AM; AND there is no holiday delay (or there is an your trash was out for that day); AND there is no sticker on your cart; AND you have the right collection day.  Then please email trash@plaistow.com and let us know.  If it's early enough in the day we can usually get them out there same day, if not we can find out when they can come back (depending on the day of the week) it's usually next day.

If you didn't meet all the above criteria, let us know anyway and we'll do what we can to get your pickup rescheduled.

Posting to Facebook is not monitored and not likely to get your collection issue resolved.

SNOW STORM DELAYS!   Occassionally collection will be delayed a day for a snow emergency. The trash crews get out of the way to allow the Highway Department to get the snow moved.  Best way to know when that is happening is to sign up for News Alerts from the Town website.  It's easy! Just go to the home page and click on "Notify Me" at the top of the page and sign up for any alerts you'd like to recieve and they will be conveniently delivered to your email inbox. You can subscribe, or unsubscribe whenever you'd like.
