Information about Private Well Water Testing Event Sunday November 15, 2020

• Test kits are “free”. 
• Water Sampling Kits will be offered to the first 50 residents along with a $50 voucher toward the cost of the water testing.  One voucher per address.
• Contact Health Officer Dennise Horrocks now to arrange to pick up your test kit and voucher.  603-382-2494 or dhorrocks@plaistow.com.  You will receive a courtesy reminder of the event the week before.

Testing prices:

• Standard analysis includes: Arsenic, Bacteria, Chloride, Copper, Fluoride, Hardness, Iron, Lead, Manganese, Nitrate/ Nitrite, pH, Sodium, and Uranium.
• Standard Analysis price is $85 your total cost minus voucher is only $35
• To include Radon add $20 your total cost minus voucher is only $55            

Sunday November 15, 2020

• The resident takes the water samples in the morning, then brings them to the Town Hall between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
• The Town will transport the samples to the lab on Monday November 16, 2020.

Benefits to residents:

• One central drop-off location for samples.
• No fees for shipping or for transporting the samples.
• A voucher to reduce the cost.
• Water test results mailed directly to the resident in about 2 weeks.
• Plug the test results into the “Be well informed” app on Plaistow.com to better understand the results of the lab report.
